Ozuru Asukai was the former second-generation Blood King and the father of his three sons, Ryusaki, Katsu and Osamu.
He led a brutally expansionist reign, conquering countless nations until most of the continent had come under his imperialist rule.[1]
Yuuta killed him by poisoning him with Fujioka Asaki knowledge about medicine. His throne would be inherited by both his eldest sons in a conjoined ruling of a diarchy.
Appearance[]
Ozuru is noted as looking similar to Ryusaki with his dark hair and golden eyes with black rims, while looking nothing like Katsu, leaving open rumors of illegitimacy.
He had multiple scars along and across his face, showing his status as a man of war and wore a thick beard.
Personality[]
Ozuru was known widely to have been a blood-thirsty, paranoid and cruel man, who slaughtered anyone in his path who dared defy him. [2]
Not holding any love towards his children, it is shown by both his beatings and abuse of Katsu, and although it isn't shown by Ryusaki, he does say that "he hated that his father didn't want him." [3]
However, he doesn't appear to have been completely emotionless as he did show some signs of grieving after Queen Fumiko passed away and held regard towards Sanjiro Kihara whom he valued and trusted above all others. Not that it prevented him from asking for his son as an exchange piece. [4]
